PLEASE NOTE: The Parish Church is open for the celebration of public Masses and Masses continue to be broadcast on 98.5FM.

Mass Times

Monday to Friday – 9.30am Mass, with the exception below;

Since Tuesday 3rd October 2023 we returned to the pre-Covid practice of one morning Mass at 11.00am only on the occasion of funerals.

Saturday – 7.30pm Vigil Mass (Please note: There will be no 11.00am Mass on Saturday mornings)

Sunday – 10.00am & 12.00 noon Mass

All Masses broadcast on 98.5FM

Announcements at this Weekend’s Masses, May 18/19, 2024

 

Today we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, Year B. Welcome and welcome to everyone who joins us by radio on 98.5FM.

 

The Novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help continues this Monday, May 20th at 7.30pm. Only 2 more Novena Masses remain. Please invite a family member or friend to attend the next two weeks. No 9.30am Mass on Mondays during the novena. This Monday, May 20th we celebrate The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church.

 

On Tuesday next, May 21st we return to Ordinary Time – Tuesday of the 7th Week in Ordinary Time, Cycle 2.

 

Congratulations to all the boys and girls who received Jesus in Holy Communion for the First Time over the past few weeks. We encourage families to bring these boys and girls to Mass to receive Jesus frequently in Holy Communion.

 

Boxes of weekly and special collection envelopes are still available in the parish office. Also, Weekly Envelope Request Form are available in the church and porches. The contributors who received a letter from the parish in relation to the Income Tax Refund Scheme are asked to continue to return them. There are 25 outstanding at present.

 

The newsletter for May 2024 is available in the church and porches.

 

All-Ireland Rosary Rally, Knock Shrine, Saturday, June 1st. Bus will leave Dungarvan at 6.00am. €30 per person. Details on posters and flyers in church.

 

The blessing of graves will take place after the 7.30pm Vigil Mass here in St. Mary’s on Saturday next, May 25th.

 

A May Procession in honour of Our Lady will be held in Dungarvan this Sunday, May 19th.  Beginning at 4.00pm here in the Churchyard, and processing to the Friary Church, for prayers, Crowning of Our Lady, & Benediction. Concluding by 5.00pm. Notices in the church and porches.

Celebration of Sacraments

The celebrations of the Sacrament of Confirmation and of children receiving Holy Communion for the First Time in this parish have concluded. We thank the entire school communities who have put so much work into the preparations for the celebration of these sacraments. We pray that parents/guardians will keep these young people close to Jesus, especially by attending Mass together.

 

Novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help

This Novena continues each Monday at 7.30pm until Monday, June 3rd. No 9.30am Mass on Mondays during the novena.
